“Purity and simplicity are the two wings with which man soars above the earth and all nature.” ~ Thomas Kempis
Sometimes I find myself confusing creativity with complexity. If I’m going to start a project then I need to make sure I have this component and that button and oh, I can’t forget the three pieces that go into the trimmings either. Before I know it I’ve dreamed up some labyrinthine fantasy that I’ll never find time to tackle.
Today I’m reminding myself that creativity is less about intricacy and more about breaking things into their simplest form – so that you can find new ways to view each piece and what it can become with the mere addition of your thoughts. Today, I’m asking you to keep it simple and I’m going to let simplicity inspire me. What’s inspiring you this week? I try to live by the K.I.S.S. school of thought. Easy to forget sometimes.
Have had to simplify over the last couple of days, breaking some pics into shades of grey for the Diary 2010 project. It has been quite refreshing
I think keeping it simple is the perfect option for me today and for this entire week. I have been dragging since Thursday or so… sinuses are wearing me out and other health stuff. I haven’t posted mine yet, but I will in a little while.
Have a beautifully simplistic day!
I am the Queen of making everything harder than it has to be. Even something that starts out easy, I have to tweak and change, obsessed with making it “better.” It’s something I’ve been trying to work on – just being happy with the simple version!
Oh, and here’s my post…
